Are Healthcare IT Grants Worth the Hassle?

That's the title above a report in an Information Week blog that recounts a hearing before DHHS where providers described the problems with the current government initiative to kick-start widespread adoption of EMRs. Doctors in small practices, community providers, and mental health specialists are proving slow to come on board, they said, citing concerns that data collection could lead to punitive government measures down the road.
